We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC). This collaboration promises to accelerate its mission by implementing cutting-edge Microsoft for Nonprofit technology solutions. This partnership is designed to amplify, elevate, and connect RCAC's work, ensuring their invaluable services reach the right places and the right people at the right time.
For over 46 years, RCAC has been a partner and resource for rural and Indigenous communities, providing essential training, technical and financial resources, and advocacy to achieve their vision and well-being. With a history of catalyzing economic growth and facilitating rural development, RCAC's impact is profound and far-reaching. The organization’s programs span affordable housing development, community economic development, environmental infrastructure assistance, and community development lending, specifically serving small, underserved rural, Indigenous, and Tribal communities across 13 states.
threshold.world’s partnership with RCAC is rooted in a shared commitment to leverage technology to do more good for our communities, establish a secure technical foundation for RCAC’s workforce to thrive alongside communities, and embrace innovation as a key driver of continuous organizational growth. By integrating advanced technology solutions from Microsoft for Nonprofits, we aim to enhance RCAC's digital infrastructure, enabling them to manage community and funder interactions more effectively and deliver services more efficiently. This collaboration will involve the development of new ways for communities to request assistance, the implementation of a customer relationship management (CRM) system, an enhanced and centralized place to manage projects and technical assistance, and the creation of a system to track and support training and workshop events RCAC provides to communities and their leaders. These tools will improve user experience, increase engagement, and ensure RCAC's services are accessible to a broader audience.

Ari Neumann, RCAC’s Chief Impact and Policy Officer, says, “RCAC’s ability to serve our communities is only as effective as our internal systems allow us to be. Partnering with an organization with immense expertise in the field and who understands and shares our passion for community-driven work allows us to build even more impactful, and long-lasting technology.”
The new online portal for assistance requests will feature a modern, human-centered design, improved navigation, and enhanced functionality, making it easier for communities to access the information and resources they need. The CRM system, powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365, will streamline RCAC's operations, allowing them to manage community interactions, projects, and technical assistance more effectively while tracking impact more accurately. The event tracking system, developed using Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Apps, will provide users with a streamlined interface to support RCAC's delivery of training and workshops to communities. These new systems break down silos within RCAC, allowing communities to access RCAC’s holistic set of services. RCAC can, in turn, provide communities with a comprehensive understanding of the services they have received and visualize progress.
This partnership is more than just a technological upgrade; it is a commitment to building digital skills, capacity, and new platforms that unlock our communities' knowledge, passion, and collective strength. As the relationship between technology and society continues to evolve, our collaboration with RCAC will ensure that rural communities are not left behind. By investing in digital infrastructure, RCAC is creating a robust, scalable, sustainable, and equitable foundation for the mission of our communities.
threshold.world’s co-founder and CEO, Dan Lammot, shared with the team: “We are incredibly grateful for the trust and partnership of RCAC. This collaboration is a testament to the power of technology in driving social change and the importance of investing in digital infrastructure to support vital work for rural communities.”
Together, we will amplify RCAC's impact, elevate its mission, and connect its work with the communities that need it most. Thank you, RCAC, for letting us be in your corner. Together, we are creating sustainable change for generations to come.
