With October’s sizable release behind us, it was time to step back, add some “quality of life” improvements to b.world, our AI-powered impact measurement platform, and get in one last release before we close up shop for the year.
This release includes project sorting, date-range filtering on Results, and in-platform notifications. FWIW, I’ve personally been waiting for project sorting for a while, so thank you to our lead b.world engineer, Jack, for sneaking that in as an early holiday present!
Please take a look below for additional details on these hot-off-the-press b.world features. If you are a user, we also encourage you to dive into the platform soon to check them out for yourself!
Impact Measurement Project Sorting
One of the latest additions to b.world is the ability to sort projects in a few different ways: alphabetically—A to Z and Z to A—and chronologically (by date added), either Oldest to Newest or vice versa. This functionality becomes especially useful and important as the number of projects in your b.world team grows, making it easier to locate projects more quickly. Previously, b.world always sorted projects Newest to Oldest (by date added), which was a fine method of organization in some—but, not all—cases.

b.world now includes several project sorting options.
Impact Measurement Allows Filtering on Results Date Range
As a refresher, b.world Results functionality enables aggregating indicator data from across or within projects in b.world, allowing you and your stakeholders to see cumulative impact. To that end, when looking at a Result, by default b.world displays all data that you’ve recorded for your indicators over time. But, there are situations where you may only need or want to show data from a particular date range—because you’re reporting on data for a particular quarter or year to a donor or because you want your data visualization to zoom in on a particular time period. This is now possible with the date range filter on Results Details pages in b.world.

Filter each Result by a specific date range.
Impact Measurement Project In-Platform Notifications
Digital notifications are part of our daily lives; they help to elevate important reminders and bubble up what’s most important for us in this moment. In-platform notifications are now part of b.world to help you use the platform. Currently, notifications show up for three different types of actions:
Tasks: A task is assigned to you (or you self-assign a task).
Logframes: You download a logframe.
Stories: You download a story.
In addition to serving as reminders, these notifications offer some other great benefits:
Multi-tasking: You can navigate elsewhere within the platform while your logframes and stories are downloading and then access them in the notifications area once the downloads have completed.
Quick access: No need to worry about not being able to find your work! The notifications serve as quick access points for downloaded logframes and stories, as well as your tasks.

Notifications for tasks and downloaded logframes and stories
This is just the beginning of notifications functionality in b.world; we look forward to adding more notification types over time! Feel free to drop a comment with the types of notifications you’d like to see on the platform so we can add them to our list.
Impact Measurement New Year’s Resolution
Heading into 2026, we are gearing up for another great year of designing b.world to meet you where you are and help you build organizational capacity so that you can grow with the resources that you have. That means more AI functionality, new and improved stories capabilities, and making it easier and quicker to start and move forward with projects in b.world.
In the coming months, look out 👀 for updates in b.world that:
Enhance data and document management
Improve the look and feel of stories
Utilize an agentic experience with AI to craft a more personalized experience
In the meantime, as always, we love to hear feedback—the good, the bad and the ugly—from our users about our platform. The more we learn from our users, the more we can ensure that b.world aligns to your current and future needs and desires in the world of project design, impact measurement and storytelling.
